Returned a U-Haul here after hours. The trailer section appeared full, so I parked the trailer in the next lot where trucks were parked. My final receipt included a $25 “cleaning fee.” When I called about this erroneous fee, I was told it was to cover moving the trailer. Moving a trailer one hundred yards should be cost of doing business as a U-Haul dealer. This petty charge should have been immediately reversed when I called to report the receipt discrepancy. Instead, I was met with poor customer service. (“Call corporate”) Be warned: if you utilize this location, you may be charged petty “fees” even when returning a clean trailer to their lot.
